  1. Is it my phone or the video sound not working on this 6G Tig test tips vid ?

  2. I gave my welder friend the finger yesterday lol..he loves it he still cant weld tho…

  3. Hey. Got the TIG finger combo package with the stubby kit and wide square. Was wondering with good care … how long will the finger last? I love it. Do I need to stock pile them? I feel real sorry for anyone that has been welding for years without one. I tried tig in High School 35 years ago for about 20 minutes. Hated it. Figured that was for someone else. In the last couple of weeks I have picked up a machine and found that I might have missed my calling. Only took me a couple of beads to come to mind to spend a few bucks and try the finger out.

  4. I use a tig finger every single 6g test I do with tig, most certainly. The instructor at the pipe union hall I just tested into had never seen one and he had been welding for most of his life. He thought it was really cool and I told him where to get them. they even have them on Amazon and they are so easy to buy. Any student or professional should have one in the arsenal. why wouldn’t you? I passed my 6g tig test just last week with one and it helped a ton. I did a 2 inch schedule 80 just like on this video, which is a coincidence, and I did it all the way out free-hand. I Could have never comfortably done it without one. it allows you to wear nice thin gloves that keep things from getting in the way.

  5. Using tig finger alot, best thing ever! Love it! Im practicing “walking-the-cup” on pipe at the moment. Thanks for this video. Would be nice with more cup walking vids. (on all passes). What size on the cup when walking Jody? 🙂

  6. Regarding the tig finger,,,Prior to owning a tig finger I had an array of used gloves and or pieces of leather aprons the I would fashion into some sort of heat shield/handrest.It worked yet was very cumbersome. Now with the tig finger Im able to get up close and personal to me work.I fab a lot of liguid vessels i.e tanks and vats for local industries in my area and the tig finger allows me to weld longer beads without having to stop to readjust my hand positioning due to heat.So the the chance of leaks at my stops and starts are limited. Not only does it help with tig welding,im also able to drag my hand using the tig finger when mig welding downhill.I have welded continuous beads up to four feet in length downhill nonstop using a tig finger,,,I have done it befor with the discarded gloves but not with as much comfort using a tig finger.I have about worn my two fingers out,so im due to get more soon. Thanks Jody for the great vids and the info you provide,,,And cudos to you on your info about 6g welding test info,,,I actually used some of your information to pass a 6g stick test 5 months ago( your info on dig helped me out).

  7. I have several tig fingers and have given all but one away (they would have ended up missing the other welders like them that much)could not think of working with out one. Thank you.

  8. I bought two tig fingures just in case I couldn’t find the first one. I find myself using it all the time. I used to burn through tig gloves all the time. Tig figure ( Jody I love it ) Thanks for all the great Videos.

  9. I really like running into other welders that have the tig finger.
We usually laugh, and call Jody our “secret weapon”.
I have gained immense confidence using his suggestions. It is only fair to help support his efforts.

  10. I put my TigFinger on the neck of my MIG welding gun, we
would run at 225 or higher amps all night long and it sure
made in nice to hold….I also use one on my finger when tigging
too….Great product Jody…thanks for coming up with them…..
and thanks for all the great videos….my buddies that I have
given a TigFinger also dig them…..

  11. i am a hobbyist and have used tig finger for months, best idea so far. Still haven’t burned myself with tig or mig. would like to say thank you for your products and videos that have helped so much.

I have a Tig Finger that I bought a year ago,I like it so much I bought another in case I loose the first one. I also use it when Plasma cutting heavy stock. Also like the vidio’s very much. BLF

  13. I use the tig finger almost everyday at work. I even ordered tig fingers for the new hires I’m training to weld because I wish I would have had one when I started welding. Its a great product!!

  14. I’m retired and decided to take a TIG welding course at our local state college. After two classes of welding I purchased two TIG Fingers and couldn’t imagine welding without them. Gave them to my instructor to try and he was very impressed, he TIG welds for a living.
Great Product and well worth the price.

I bought a tig finger when I bought the welder, and learning how to use a Tig. Of which I am truly glad I bought it (the tig finger) – stops a lot of burnt pinkies I feel even through the gloves..
    High recomend them …

  16. Love my tig finger! It’s really a hand saver, but sometimes I wish I could fit 2 fingers in there for more control welding small OD tube.

  17. Love the tig finger, makes my arc length very steady. When I wore out my first one, I ordered two more immediately.

  18. Love my tig finger !!!!!!!!!I wish I had a glove made out of same thing or a pad like the first guy mentioned . And most of all I really really appreciate u Jody for all the videos! Just have to say THANKS!!

  19. Like the tig fingers a lot, NOW how about a pad say about 4″ x 4″ out of the same material that I can lay the heal of my hand on … Something to think about …Ed

  20. I ordered 2 ‘tig fingers’..should have them in a day or so. I do welding wire sculpture and use a 14″x14″x1″ smooth steel plate to do a lot of my work. The plate gets too hot to touch and I’ve had to quit even though I wasn’t ready. With Tig Fingers I will now be able to keep going. Thanks for all of your informative videos and narratives.

  21. The tig finger is the best accessory in my welding kit, period…It has saved me more times than I can think of. The only limitation is your imagination on ways to prop with it.
Recently I needed to prop the pinkie under a piece of 11 ga. steel while welding a flange onto it. The job went perfectly and would have been impossible w/out the tig finger.
Thanks, Jody. Keep up the good work.

  22. I love my Tig finger!! Use it everyday!! I use it with other processes too, not just tig.

  23. Used one once…..haven’t stopped using it since.

The tig finger is the biz.

  24. A great product that is simple but really effective. I have now ordered the big version for 2 fingers and looking forward to trying them.

  25. I’m pretty new to TIG and I purchased two TIG fingers. Just can’t imagine being without them. Great product. Thanks for your videos too, I learned to weld by them.

  26. Tig finger is great. I bought a bunch of them because the ones you sent me seem to have legs. Much better than wearing a stick welding glove on my torch hand when propping with my pinky.

  27. Love my tig finger, it comes in handy ALOT.
Heck I’ve even given them as gifts.

  28. A+ on the TIG finger!

Tig Finger reply: I have students fighting over the 10 that we have. Great product, well worth the money. Just an idea, would the tig finger material work as good if you lined welding gloves with it??? or a glove in a welding glove?? Just a thought

    • ps:
I think putting a TIG finger in a glove would remove its versatility. I use it on different fingers, or the bench as needed, you’d lose that putting it in a glove. Also what if I didn’t like the glove it was in? The way it is now I get to pick my gloves and my working finger. What about left handed people? You’d need different gloves, keep it simple like it is now. Why mess up a perfect solution?
