If you already have a JMR, JD2, or Pro Tools Tubing Bender, it might just be worth your while to check out SWAGoffroad.com to see if this mount kit will work with your bender.
IF you are thinking about getting a tubing bender, then definitely check out SWAG Off Road because they have a kit that lets you use an inexpensive air/hydraulic ram from Harbor Freight to power a tubing bender. That makes life easier.
This week’s video is about tig welding one of those kits up.
I already mig welded and stick welded a couple of these and that will be in a future video, but I decided to focus on tig welding for this one.
Sometimes, Tig welding is faster than Mig or Stick welding.
Why? Because of clean up time.
Tig welding a small part like this might take a few extra minutes in pre-weld cleaning and during welding, but when it’s done… it’s done.
No slag, no spatter.
Tig welding high strength A572 steel is a piece of cake, too.
As long as you clean the mill scale, it welds like butter.
