This is Part 2 of building a boom arm for a mig welder. A millermatic 250 mig welder to be exact.
The aim is to remove the wire feeder components from the welder and install them in a separate wire feeder cabinet that will hang on the end of the boom.
This is a prototype so I will make changes along the way. The hinge is kinda small and the base plate might be too light… But all these things will come to light when it’s done and in use.
There are lots of small shop owners out there who could benefit from a wire feeder on a boom arm.
Maybe you’re one of them. It is a much cheaper way to go than buying a separate wire feeder unit.
I welcome any suggestions so lets hear them…
