  1. Jody, I always look forward to your weekly videos. I’m a current user of your tig finger. Great stuff.

    Thanks

  2. Hi Jody,

Another informative video–I watch every one, often more than once.

You say this machine didn’t throw the thermal breaker even though you were running it on a long extension cord. I wonder if that cord is actually the reason it didn’t overheat–the cord probably insured that you weren’t getting more than maybe 100V at the machine, so the amperage overall may have been lower than with a shorter connection to the power source. In comparing the two machines by the same manufacturer, could this have accounted for the difference in performance??

  3. I have welded some heavy metal (3/8″- 1/2″) with a Hobart 110v machine. all you have to do is heat the weld area with your oxy-acetylene torch, and those little machines will drive those wires like needles.
    Huck

  4. I have a Lincoln 125 wire feed and a 225 ac Lincoln , she’s old but runs a nice bead and an other 225 century high and low range. the Lincoln seems to do a better job. I watch all the video’s I was told by an older welder where I worked that after a box car load of welding rod I’d be a good welder. keep the video’s coming.

  5. Great little tool Jody! Very useful! I’ve put it on my project list. Again, thanks for doing these videos & keep it up.

  6. Jody, you can remove plating on PIPE,BOLTS/SCREWS dipping them in a plastic container with MURIATIC ACID /HYDROCHLORIC,when reaction stops remove and rinse in water. You can save acid if it still reacts with plating. Zn + HCL > H + ZnCL you get Hydrogen Gas and chloride odor do it outside or close to exhaust fan..

  7. Really enjoy you videos and look forward to them every week…..thanks

  8. I forgot which video it was where you distinguishing the polarity setup of bare ware and the flux cored mig . can you refresh my mind about this and what video this was. I’ve been watch you tubers make these rocket stoves and etc and quality is way out the window. it could be that they don’t realize this
