Great video thanks for posting. Please post more on stainless stick on 6g pipe 2″ xxs if possible. I am a pipe welder and have a test coming up on a 308 2″ extra heavy 6g pipe test. Procedure calls for heli-arc root and hot and stick fill and cap. Heli-arc is not a issue but I’m really struggling with the stick part. I’m getting porosity on my stop and goes and slag intrusion. If I run to cold I’m getting the porosity problem on stop and go and if I run to hot it starts digging and I have slag intrusion problems. The machines at the lab are very out dated and have no dig settings and start really cold not hot start. I watch your videos weekly and appreciate all the time you take to post these videos. I also love the tig finger it saves me daily. On your pipe video burn some 3/32 rod please with suggested amperage. Thank You
I am recently disabled due to a botched neck surgery and have much reduced function in left arm. I have trained myself for ywo years to weld aluminum so I could build Al skiffs. I came across a cold wire tig spool gun by OTC that is not made in the US any longer and is apparently still made in Japan. nKevin Morin in Alaska has extensive experience with that gun and I wonder if you have used or seen it used. Feeding wire with my left hand is very challenging and the OTC Tig Boy seems like a great accomodation to my situation. Dan Rohe
