im work whit 16 gate and 18g whit the hobart 140. is ok but whe i welding on 225. lincon whit 6013/6011 some times is hard. if you have some tips.tanks.
I notice you only use solid wire with gas, I keep flux core in my Hobart 140 for deeper penetration and welding dirty metal. What’s a little splatter amongst friends.
Thanks for the schooling its amazing how much I forget if I don’t use it everyday.
Jody I always have trouble welding corner joints that are closed in maybe welding a frame rail in or something like that should I weld into or out the corners thanks?
Jody…
Thanks for the refresher on MIG!! I normally use the “TIG” process but when I have to use MIG I wonder if I remember how to make it work correctly! Funny how I forget the MIG process when I spend most of my time with the TIG process! I look forward to your video each week! Keep”em coming I learn from each one! I also wouldn’t be without my “TIG Finger”….. and my fingers thank you!! …. Steve
I was putting some door frames in a Connex box. I was having a hard time putting a good bead down, then I noticed that I had forgotten to turn the gas on at the regulator. I looked back at the beads & was surprised that they weren’t toooo bad for no gas on the weld.
Was welding 18 Ga. 2×3 tube around the door frames using an old Millermatic 250 MP.
WELL ALL I CAN SAY IS JUST THANKS
WELL THATS NOTALL I CAN SAY BUT THANKS YOU HAVE HELPED SO MUCH
HAVE JUST STARTED TO GET TIG UNDER CONTROL IT IS A SLOW GOING
THANKS AGAIN
