   Jody look forward to these videos every week since I found u on YouTube went to welding school in the late 80s and really only welded in an automotive repairing environment ,this spring after watching every tig video you’ve made I purchased my first tig welder a power pro 256 to repair boats and such thanks for all you do for us and best wishes

   Thanks for the job well done on tig welding. As a welder, I have been welding for 24 year. The only 2 things I haven’t welded is Pipe and titainame. Sorry about my spelling. I really would like to see a video on this welding procedure if possible. I really enjoyed your video on 6010 root and 7018 cap on 6G welding test. Thus far I haven’t had a chance to do this either. Keep up the excellent videos, and it will be sure to watch all of them, and learn more in this tough career. Since my retirement of the US Army, and being a Wounded Warrior, I’m limited on some out of position welding. I still love the art of welding, and hope others do as well.

   Jody,
   Thank you very much for the great instructional videos! Could you go over how to test the gas flow on your Tig welder to see if the gas flow hitting the torch tip matches what the regulator says? Also, the equipment needed to do the test? I built some of gas driers that you made and I want to make sure I can figure out how off the gas flow would be at the torch vs what the regulator is stating.

   Jody,

   I sincerely enjoyed your interview with the Tulsa guys. I weld as a hobby and you have been a great asset to help me identify “fido’s butt” for what it is and have pride in trying not to go there. I’m a dentist about to retire and I’ll have more time to improve my welding with your help and my practice. I volunteer teach graduated dentists at a clinic and they have the same characteristics as the Tulsa students. Some soak it up like a sponge with the “work ethic” and some are just a sieve and you wonder what they spent the money. Some even blame the dental school. You take out what you put in. Bless you for your gift and interest in teaching and sharing what you know. Also, you do have a bitchen’ wife. 😉

   Will you spend some time on getting aluminum to fuse together, for instance on a fillet weld. That seems to be the one thing that I haven’t found a fool proof way of getting the filler rod to fuse to both pieces of aluminum when starting a weld.

   Can you touch on tig rod manipulation,I’m kind of a klutz with my left hand.
   I seem to remember long ago a tool for tig and gas that you slid your welding rod into and it had a thumb wheel to
   Feed the rod.
