I thought I would take a few minutes and talk about how I got into welding, and offer some welding career advice for young welders.

I got into my welding career by accident.

I started off going to college, but college wasn’t for me.

So I tried to get into automotive repair school… but it was full.

I moved across the street from the welding instructor at that school and he said “I can’t help you with the auto mechanic classes, but I can get you into welding.”

I said yes.
