Parts used for tooling often require a black oxide finish.
After these parts were tig welded, they were bead blasted, and then coated with black oxide.
That begins with a boiling degreaser, then rinse water, then black oxide coating, then rinse again, and then a penetrating oil followed by an oven bake.

Good job Jody I got to say I watched a lot of your videos and they never really had what this one did which I think you should keep up. You were explaining the welding symbols and formulas which I really appreciate and hope you do it in further videos but again thank you for your words of wisdom.
