This is part two in a how to TIG weld aluminum series. In part one, I asked for comments, and I said that the comments are going to sort of determine the direction I go with this and the topics that I cover. Well, I got a lot of them, a whole lot. Like, over 350 comments so far. So I’ve got to figure out how to address that, and I’ve got to get a game plan together.
This is the final video in the series on tig welding an aluminum intake manifold.
1. I had to get a simple fixture to locate the fuel injector bungs so that they would fit to the fuel rail.
2. its handy to have a few drill press vises to hold odd shaped parts.
3. if you have a gap in aluminum sheet, sometimes it helps to do a cold pass and follow it up with a penetration pass.
